My PS4 Controller don't work and I don't know what to do

After tampering with Steam Controller Configuration and DS4Windows (with GInput installed mind you), the PS4 controller refuses to work properly. The buton, triggers, bumpers, and D-Pad all work fine, but it's both the Left and Right Sticks that cause an issue. I don't know what to do. I've done everything I can.

EDIT: Apparently, the left stick does work but only while in vehicles. I don't get it.

Do you play in Steam Big Picture mode? Try switching between Classic/Standard Controller mode in the in game settings. Also, try Redefine Controls in game. I had to do that to get everything to work, because some buttons weren't mapped.

Whenever I have a controller plugged in, Steam automatically launches games in Big Picture Mode. In the in-game settings, I can't find Classic/Standard controller options and I tried to Redefine Controls but it didn't work (nothing was detected from the controller)

Mine is under options. The very top choice says "Standard Controls" and I click it (which is triangle for me...) and it switches to "Classic Controls." You should launch the controller settings from in game and check the map that you're using for your controller.

Have you tried running it without DS4? I use ONLY Steam in Big Picture mode. Then from in game I bring up the steam overlay then configure the controller VIA STEAM using the community setting that has like 11,000 hours

I ended up using it but just remapping everything in game. I have to use O for handbrake and R1 to fire because seriously screw using O as fire with the analog stick aiming!! But other than that, the only issue I have is that the menu uses Triangle as "enter" and Start as "back."

Because some games (like Vice City) are pains in the ass with controllers that don't use XInput. Although, even when emulating a PS4 controller as a Xbox 360 controller, some games (Like Vice City) still refuse to work.

Steam -> Big Picture Mode -> Settings -> Controller -> Controller settings -> Enable PS4 Controllers

I assume you're talking about the Steam Big Picture menu. Yes, it says controller detected.
