If your copy of the game was purchased prior to the change, it will still have the old audio.
I think that R* did in fact buy the rights again. I bought this game off of Steam about two weeks ago to revisit old memories and the fact that it was only $10 was a steal to me. My version of the game also has both Michael Jackson songs. After I complete this game, I can't wait to buy Gta 3 and then San Andreas off of Steam to give R* even more money by buying the same games a record total of....Let's see, 2002, 2003 (The year that I played Gta 3 for the first time), 2004, different consoles, oh lol I honestly lost count.
Especially at night time. Back in 2002 these graphics blew me away.
Buuut, I got it on steam recently. And already the game is just as good as I remember it.
