Temple of Rebirth : Softlock on retraversal.

After the combat against the Vile Dragon (Temple of Rythm, Desert Island), I decided to take a break from the story and go back to previous areas in order to banish all the shadows I could find.
This included going back to the Temple of Rebirth. However, it appears that once you are back to this Temple, you are staying for good.

The way back is blocked west of the first pump by a cliff that cannot be climbed with my current arsenal.

The way forward through the Temple stops in the room where you fought the Dread Worm, with the exit being closed in both timelines

EDIT - Some Extra Info, based on the BFS_Erin's comment in another discussion :
- Softlock occured 10/11/2020 on PC (Steam)
- Game version : 1.0.4.2 (rev d17cf851c)

I am the same case...
I'm juste early game, in first isle, i have decide to turnback for recup an item under the house's heroine, and cannot return back
I use the GOG version, but is the same thing

I hope the developpers fixe this softloock soon...

Thank you for reporting it, this issue will be addressed in the next build
In your build there are two ways to get out of this situation.
1.) Either run through the whole Temple of Rebirth - Waterfalls again and use the teleporter near the Temple of Life
2.) use the mudguy to get an extra push, then use your doublejump, like this: https://i.imgur.com/szrQFOS.mp4

Using a damage boost does indeed work ! I must say I would have never have thought about it.

Quite sure solution 1 doesn't work since the boss room is blocked

Solution 2 is working, you should inform everyone of it, ESPECIALLY switch players.

Also, there's a small bug, when you use the teleport from small to teenager before the temple, you will see a mini scene with the worm again, even after having defeated it.
