hi, this is a Visual Novel style game, so in your words "pictures only", but you can decide between multiple story arcs.

Agreed animation is needed for a better understanding.

its just non moving pics with text, no gameplay at all. a real rip off! wish steam wouldnt sell such garbage. you can find this simple "game" online for free anyways .

It's a Visual Novel, 95% of the time they don't have any animations. There are some non anime VN that have some very minor animations but it's barely any difference, just a few frames looped (Acting Lessons). Same with the Anime ones but they are a little more advanced and have audio thus better (Love Cube).

If you want 3d and animated a straight up Visual Novel is not what you should be looking at. Try something like Koikatsu Party or Future Love Space Machine : Glimmer Deck.
