Grand Theft Auto III

[SOLVED] GTA III Steam Unhandled Exception problem
EDIT:IF ANY OF THE SOLUTIONS BELOW DIDN'T WORK,TRY TYPING ''CMD'' INTO THE START BAR,RIGHT CLICK IT AND RUN IT AS ADMINISTRATOR,THEN TYPE THE FOLLOWING INTO IT:
/set {current} nx AlwaysOff
IF YOU DIDN'T RUN IT AS ADMINISTRATOR THE OPERATION WILL FAIL.
THIS DISABLES THE DEP SO GTA III WORKS.RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AND YOU ARE DONE!!

I know this has been posted a thousand times, but i still can't find a solution for this problem.
So yesterday I bought Grand Theft Auto complete pack and I tried to run GTA III,but to my surprise,i got the usual Unhandled Exception error.
So I tried all these steps and it still didn't work:
1.Adding gta3.exe/testapp.exe to DEP list
2.Running both as administrator
3.Running both on compatibility mode windows 98/windows xp(service pack 2/3)
4.Running in 640x840 resolution
5.Restarting my laptop
6.Restarting steam
7.Reinstalling GTA III
8.I also tried to delete the files from GTA3 User files, but the folder didn't have anything in it.
9.Also found a solution where you download 3d analyzer and run gta3.exe in forced windowed mode, but it still didn't work.

Can anyone help me with this problem?Note that I have windows 8.1 installed.

Add the game to DEP exception, and in compatibility select Win7 (have read somewhere about this for Win 8, worked for someone). in case the exception repeats, you might want to check its details, to search based on that data.

I found a fix today
I runned cmd as administrator then I typed in exactly this text:
/set {current} nx AlwaysOff
Restarted my computer and I runned GTA III from steam. Then it worked.

This just disabled the DEP. You could an exception for the gta3 executable. Or disable the DEP from System Settings already. Never run scripts found on internet without knowing what they do, just an advice ;)

1.Adding gta3.exe/testapp.exe to DEP list,that was the first thing I tried ;)

Guys the DEP fix did not work for me nor did any other suggestion online such as Run as Admin. or Compatibility mode etc... By chance I used a fix that I used for Sims, and that is using DGVOODOO. Search it up online and there's plenty of guides. Game works perfectly now :)

I can find the DGVOODOO file somewhere on the net or I don't know where

I still have the same problem, I don't know which version to download, I've already watched the video, but I don't know how to do it
