GTA 3 does not load.

Hit start new game. It goes into loading screen at about 5%, where it's stuck. To exit i have to hit escape and it then says that GTA 3 hast stop working.

I have set properties to compatibility mode for windows 7, and verified files.

Anybody had this issue and know how to fix?
