Grand Theft Auto III

Paramedic Level 12 Seems Impossible
I barely hit anything and got lucky in barely having to go to Chinatown where everyone's mad at me and managed to make it to level 8 before the ambulance set on fire. I imagine because I smashed the back doors open to get people in faster as someone had mentioned... thanks for wasting my time whoever that was.

I failed on Level 12 earlier as I hit a single pole and got set on fire from it. This just seems exceptionally difficult to make it without the vehicle getting damaged to the point of exploding and it's such a time-consuming, tedious task to get all the way to 12. Are there any tips outside of restarting the game so people aren't mad at me or using cheats? I'm at a loss. I'm trying to 100% and get max sprint.

1 Do it immediately at the start of the game, before even capping Triads.
2 Make sure to memorize all shortcuts, either in grassy areas, or inbetween buildings. You will never beat it if you follow the road readily available on the minimap.
3 Get acquainted with driving and evading other vehicles. Use the camera angle that helps you best.
4 This specific mission, involves lots of luck. Like the placement of patients on the map and the distance between them. The places that they spawn at. Trickiest spawns are inside the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Dog Food restaurant and in the sports field with fence all around.
5 Last but not least, you have to strategize and prioritize your pickups, leaving those closest to the hospital for last. This is hard to do, especially with lack of a map, like Vice City's or San andreas'.

It took me consequtive tries, for 2 days straight i had been struggling. There are even accidents that can happen, like a patient run over by another car, your ambulance suddenly flipping, or catching fire from damage. Other people suggest using the siren, others advice against that. I found that siren off worked best for me, because cars act unreliably and in panic (like completely stopping and blocking your road, or when they go over one side then suddenly go over the opposite one while you try to bypass it).

Good luck! That is the most you 're going to need, at the end of the day!

Do them before you piss off all the gangs. The game never warns you you will end up fobbing them off.

Just take your time don't get frustrated when you fail at high level sure its anoying but if you go frustrated on your next atemt you will fail even more. Also yea destroying the doors isn't that helpfull unless your speedrunner it will damage your vechile quite a lot and in GTA 3 is very onforgving because your ambulance don't get repaired afther compleeting a level like its sequels. Also gangs can be problem late game so try avoid hostile teretories as much as posible unless the game forces you in there your vechile should tank a few shots if not damaged by colisions ambulance is quite a big target but has good top speed what can help you to dodge big chunk of enemy fire if you far enough from the sidewalk in there area.

Thank you everyone! I'll keep at it :)

It is very doable. I did it just today. Just drive carefully (without siren) and pick up people close but not too close to the drop-off. Focus more on driving carefully than quick, and just pick up passengers to get the +22 seconds (as a typical example).

Best of luck (in fact, hope you've done it by now)!

I can't even get my siren to turn on. i double tap the horn and nothing but I might be missing something. I got it to turn on once but I wasn't able to turn it off.

I can reliably get up to level 8 and then the ambulance flips after I hit a curb :(.

if you framerate is above 30FPS the siren button doesnt work like should. The game has a build in framelimiter i recomend enabeling it because not only does it bug the siren but also the games driving pysics so the mission will become much more harder because of it.

Yeah, if you unlock the framerate you have to get a fix to get it working. Although, there are some framerate options out there.

Thanks for the help. I guess keeping that option on also eliminates the sprint-flash-get-hurt-and/or-die situation.

As for me, I tried to complete this missions without sirens many times, but the cars kept bumping into me and blocking the road. With the sirens turned on, they will give road, so there's less chance to bump into them and lose time.

Still, everyone has their way.
