I don't know know why people think that the originals will be the only ones with mods. I don't think they realize that a new modding community will spring up for the remastered trilogy as well and add even more great stuff to it.
2)It wasnt meant for you to swim in GTA 3/VC, but who says that it wont be clunky in the upcoming remastered version, or it will be an existing feature at all?
3)Open source mod actually added the San Andreas Controls on gta3/vc, effectively enchancing the gameplay aspect of these two games.
4)If you have a loading time issues with gta trilogy in 2021, seriously consider buying a new computer. These "enter building" loading screens will be in the remastered trilogy as well lmao, no way they merge building rooms with the free roaming map.
5) While checkpoints are always a welcome addition, Gta 3/vc maps are too small to actually need checkpoints.
Even if you are not impressed by the graphics, there will be many quality of life improvement that is simply not possible in the old engines.
Don't be too sure about that.
Since the game is redone on Unreal Engine 4, you can expect not having to deal with some limitations of the PS2 era.
In one of the screenshots, it looks like you can see inside CJ's house.. which it may be a sign that you can walk in and out seamlessly.
What's funny is people saying the "original aesthetic" is ruined, when half the mods did that ANYWAY ("wet roads effect" anyone?). People just have their color blinders on. And of course they completely ignore console players who can't mod their GTAs because who cares about console players, right? Even though most GTA games came to console FIRST, and THEN PC.
It was the engine of GTA 3,VC and SA that was recreated by reverse engineering.(Kinda similar to the way that driver fans reverse engineered Driver 2 and made a pc port for it.)
Bc censorship
are still around, they'll get over it.
I got a few of my own for SA, 2 rather large ones, was fun, but over long ago.
Just let the Modders enjoy their mods.
I love to mod some games but on the other hand - i hate it when i have to use mods to get a game even running on modern systems.
And lets face it - some games didnt age well and are only playable with mods (for quality of life or gameplay- improvments).
Thats a 'No, no' for me most of the time.
So i'm very happy with the remaster and cant wait to play it.
Remaster is also running with 'Unreal Engine' - Sounds very 'mod friendly', so i think we will see many mods in the future.
I'm more a fan of mods that bring you new cars/vehicles, guns, objects, or change things up a bit (idk how to explain it)
so i'm glad the remster already has all the 'quality of life and gameplay' improvments and i dont need to use mods for that.
'censorship'? What are you talking about?
As i understand it Mods are cool if you don't make people pay for it.
Even GTAV was 'easy' to mod but there was a time you had to be careful to not join a online lobby while mods are 'active'.
2. You can't swim in this new release either.
3. https://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=24272
4. Nobody said this new release will have that feature.
5. There is no checkpoints, just the option to retry mission, https://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=20849 https://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=22258
kek. garbage.
remaster will be better than all the mods.
I think he meant that things that are now being considered pollitically incorrect will be removed, like Phills Cassidy's confederate flag on his T-shirt that has been replaced with a skull.

And there's the benefit that the modded old version won't be censored for today's pansies.
Especially since GTA's actual reason for widespread relevancy to even otherwise non-gamers is not the 3d open world, it's pushing far beyond the envelope of political correctness.
Millions of them bought every GTA. Some would buy a console just to get the new GTA. It wasn't just the violence, not at all.
Of course, the average non-gamer still isn't aware of the forthcoming censorship and the abandonment of Rockstar by Dan Houser and Lazlow. I almost missed the news myself, and I like to follow things I enjoy. I stumbled on it. Non-gamers have no clue that 2 of the heart and soul of the series are gone.
Anyone who says the creative genuises behind the writing and audio experience of GTA leaving, isn't setting the future of GTA up for disaster, is kidding themselves.
GTA is not just about wanton violence. It's the social commentary that came along with that. The world is more than just graphics and shooting. My non-gamer friends would laugh at the radio, enjoy the storyline and talk about it for months after a new GTA game came out.
They always quoted the scenes that today would be completely unacceptable.
Anyone who believes censoring GTA and removing 2 of the most prominent roles in making GTA an adored series still means a potentially bright future for the series is deluding themselves.
So mods definitely do a lot of great things, plus they preserve the spirit of the original series too.
Because GTA 3 was censored back in the day due to 9/11.
