How to I install mods

Hi I am new to modding GTA 3 to my own liking. I have installed the files for Cleo and the Classic axis and I looked online for solutions oh how to get this to work and I imported the files into gta 3 and the game crashes while loading into the game .

Do yourself a favor and use modloader. For *.asi mods you need CLEO or any other ASI loader.

If you have an ASI loader correctly installed, the Classic Axes mod files go into the Scripts folder within your GTA3 installation folder, although putting them into modloader should work. That's the whole point of it.

You're gonna need an ASI loader. ThirteenAG's Widescreen doubles as one and triples as D3D8to9 wraper.

Steam Version of GTA's don't support mods cleos and ect. You heave to downgrade your game to an 1.1 or someting to install mods cleo scripts or ect.

You need the game to be v1.0; most mods aren't made for the Steam/v1.1 executable.

i have the steam unlocked version and i cant find the script folder
