Resolution is locked at 640X480
I can't change it, how do I fix?

3 year old thread but, that's not really helpful, I can't see the entire screen in game because the resolution is messed up, I can't even tell fully what the res is.

Nevermind, restarting the game allowed mto change it, just didn't work on first bootup.

Hey. So I know a fix. So in GTA 3 and Vice City, If you start the game at the default 640x480 resolution, You can`t change it anymore. You`re locked out of the resolution. To change it, Simply restart the game. Then go to options > display setup then change your resolution, I prefer changing it to your desktop resolution. (e.g your monitor resolution is 2560x1440 or 1920x1080. Then you set it to that resolution)

NOTE: be careful. Not all resolutions are supported. Some of them crashes (Or just freezes). the game. If that happens go to documents > GTA3 User Files then delete the .set file, But doing that will reset all your settings (Including Key Bindings) So I prefer please install SilentPatch and DDraw Component (Also widescreen fix but if you want to) before playing the game. Since that will fix most of the pesky issues of the game (Including freezing issues)
