Grand Theft Auto III

Grand Theft Auto III won't start.
So, most recently I installed a GTA III on my Windows 10. Everytime I try to launch it, the game asks me to use admin privileges. When I do it nothing happens. Can you help me with that? I really want to play this classic one more time.

try to go into properties, and change the compatibility to either windows xp or 98.

That doesn't help. The game feels like it wants to start (screen flashes a few times) but still cannot be launched.
Try to verify the game cache that might help. I just installed it, and I'm using Windows 10 pro, and it started for me, the only issue i had was that the menu is invisible and I need to move the mouse around before the menu appears

Enable Frame Limiter too so you wont have that invisible screen in the menu.

That could be very helpful, but my game is a non Steam version. Do you know how to verify game cache without Steam? Thanks.
I am unsure how to do that unfortunately outisde of the steam version, but did your version of the game install DirectX?

That might help if that wasn't installed onto your computer when you installed the game.
