Thoughts after hitting 100% achievements
- Runs became significantly easier after patch 2.0.5 (I was completing about half my runs on 2.0.4, now finishing every run with relative ease). I can appreciate the importance of having a base difficulty that feels inviting for new players, but without more challenging modes the game's replayability suffers. That said, here are some challenging mode ideas:
- Jammed Mode (all enemies are jammed)
- Flawless Mode (1 hit death)
- Blessless Mode (must complete run with base gun)
- Jones Mode (must complete run with only Casey)

- Combo system needs work. Getting suboptimal guns at high combo levels isn't fun, especially considering the punishment of losing your entire combo when damaged. I understand that part of the challenge is navigating the run despite these weapon hiccups, but getting The Judge or Unicorn Horn at lvl 20 just doesn't feel rewarding for the effort - especially considering how good the weapon pool is at low combo levels. This also ties into the issue with the game's base difficulty, as having to work up the combo ladder with strict level appropriate gun pools would make things more challenging

- The NPC item achievements are such a grind (Daisuke needs 2 items?!)

- Quad Laser and Klobbe practically disappeared after this last patch (2.0.6) - was that intentional?

- Since EtG had alternate post-Dragun bosses that were past-themed, I'm hoping at some point the developers have post-The-Last-Dragun bosses that are future-themed

All in all, I've definitely enjoyed the game, and I'm excited for all the future content. EtG became a better game with every patch and update they added, so I figure XtG will follow in the same vein.

p.s. I'm not sure if anyone's attempted it, but you can dodge the Sorceress' blessing for the entire first floor. Though, you still get the blessing at the time you normally would despite evading the green orb.

Fully agree that the NPC achievements are a grind, I believe the NPC items from the golf and angry birds game must be given to the respective NPCs on the SAME run. It would make it substantially easier if the items carried over between runs.

Also do a agree with alternative game modes after the patches that significantly reduced final boss difficulty. Post dragun fights introduce split paths which I believe don't really fit the pace of game, but perhaps a challenge mode similar to the one in ETG would be more appropriate.

I've almost 100% the game, the only thing left is the golf minigame...
Finding that event is a chore!
Honestly I wonder why there aren't any challenges in the game, even the old ones would be a nice change of pace, especially when you finished buying stuff and now there's a ton of useless credits you can no longer use!
Also, please let me kill Hattori, like a secret bossfight or something... From what he has done, he deserves to get spanked by Casey!
