Where do you find royal navy treasure ships?
I've been scouting around for like 2 hours now, sailing around the entire available map, and I've yet to encounter even one royal navy treasure ship, and I need to sink one for a quest. Anyone have any tips? Because this game, as per usual, is near useless when it comes to any kind of hint or indicator.

2 hours and no treasure ships. Sounds like real bad luck or other problems. Maybe restarting the game will fix it.

Most often thy sail in a convoi of 2 ships (treasure + escort). I usualle circle royal territory, but you will find them overall the map.

I've encountered other trading ships, such as the merchant ones, but not specifically a royal navy treasure ships. And I've loaded up the game probably a dozen times over the past few days, and have even tried camping out near the capital city, just out of range of the level 60 turrets, and I've seen basically every other kind of ship other than the royal treasure ships.

Also, I've re-launched the game probably a dozen times in the past two days alone, mostly because this game is a buggy abomination and often crashes on startup or on the main menu. I usually have to launch it 3 or 4 times before it actually works properly.

I also have this question. I've collected 3 quests to sink one navy treasure ship but I only see the green ones.
privat Jun 2, 2021 @ 2:36pm
There are different type of quests to sink ships:
1) You are asked to destroy one dedicated ship (and may collect the special cargo und bring it bag to the port)
2) You are asked to destroy 2-3 ships of a special type AND membership to a fraction (royal or merchants).

For 1) You see your target on the map, if you activated the quest.

For 2) Yes, I have also often problems to spot the ships where I hunting for. But maybe it is only bias?

I have no problem to cancel quests, which I cant fulfill in a meaningful time. I consider most of the quests to be not recommended to earn XP or Gear in a fast way.

They exist, but are incredibly rare.

So far I have encountered one with escort around King's Fortress.

Yeah, I just gave up on this game entirely, as seemingly has most of the playerbase, given how few players have unlocked fairly-easily-earned achievements in-game.

So if you have already unlocked the war of conquest then look for these ships near their faction islands.
I'm sure you all know the faction colors by now. Is also a good distinguishing feature.
But to be honest, I am not looking for these ships at all, I play the game, I actually only go to the tasks where I also get a target displayed. And if a ship of the Royal Navy hits my broadside, then I'll just sink it.

I have a question about you and the other players. How easy do you want to have a game so that you are satisfied. And play through the game within hours as some have done. Apart from that, these players have explicitly omitted to say at what level of difficulty.
I can say that I haven't regretted buying the game for a single day. Neither bugs nor that it is too easy for me. Or that I wasn't able to do the missions. If you want a game that gives you the legendary items and the place of fulfillment for all tasks. Then I recommend you just develop a game yourself then you can play it for half an hour are satisfied that you have managed everything and look for a game again. I find it very worrying how the developers are developing more and more the games in line with the mainstream, just to appeal to most players. You are just spoiled. I'm not saying that everything the developers make is good or error-free. But at least earlier it was different. And consider that a game always has bugs is only up to the players, because one doesn't like it, the other doesn't and the developer jumps back and forth between the chairs all the time. And at some point he misses both chairs and falls and then what do all those who let them jump where only bad statements come about the developers. Do you have any idea what pressure such developer studios are under? Especially those who try to establish themselves, and yes there are black sheep there too, but there are also developers who produce AAA titles, and I can only give up again and again
EA / BW reference "Anthem". Anyone who has followed the story of Anthem that the staff there was literally burned to then publish this unfinished game that we now have about the delaying tactic, for the revision I don't even want to start, and in the end it means we have no staff for it then days later I get the message about "Mass Effect Legendary". What else should be said and thought by such developers.
So pinch your ass cheeks together and don't start crying when it takes a little longer to fulfill something.

I just recently replayed Remnant: From The Ashes solo and only died twice. Somehow, I doubt you could make it beyond the first boss solo. I enjoy a challenge. But I don't consider 6 hours of aimless sailing to be a challenge. It's the complete opposite. It's so pointlessly boring, I could fall asleep while playing and make just as much progress asleep as I did while awake. If a game's mission design is so randomized that it requires you to be inactive for 6+ hours in order to potentially progress, that's just bad game design. I only have so many hours in the day to play games. Sadly not all of us can sit in front of our computers and stuff our faces with soda and chips for 12 hours at a time while we wait for the game to allow us to progress. Some of us have other obligations. If you find yourself in the former of the two categories, you have my personal sympathies.

First of all, I would like to apologize for the fact that you seem to feel personally attacked by me. That was not my intention.
I doubt that you will be able to judge which games I can play and in which way. Furthermore, it is your personal goal to complete a game the way you want it. I am not telling you how to play a game, as I said, your personal goal is to complete a game with only two deaths.
On the other hand, nobody is forcing you to close these quests that you think are boring and bad game design. A. You don't have to accept it and B. You can cancel it.
And now for your opinion on the categories of players.
Also here I find it very annoying to judge players in such a way that there are those who invest a lot of time and can and who do not have this time and cannot.
I have not attacked anyone personally with my testimony, I do not understand why you are doing this. If you don't like the game then that's your personal opinion, please write it that way. And don't assume that other players fared like you. How did you call it "giving up the game as most of the players supposedly did".
Such comments are very negative for the game and may prevent other players from buying. This deprives the developer studio of the financial basis and thus the possibility to change or improve something. Why didn't you return the game after 2 hours of play if you don't like it because these tasks come into the game very early. Because if I guess correctly you were ready in the first hour that you got such missions. So just return the game to Steam and you will get your money back.
And your question to which of your category of players I belong to, I deliberately only answered superficially because it is not your concern at all how much time I have for a game. I can only say that sometimes I would like to spend more time in King of Seas as I can. I wish you a nice day and lots of joy in indulging your playfulness as you like. This is my only answer because it is offtopic, if you would like to continue discussing it, start a new topic. Thanks.

If your comment wasn't intended as an attack, I apologize in turn as well. Your initial reply came off as rather hostile, so I responded snarkily. When I said a lot of players have given up on the game, I wasn't saying that to be demeaning or anything. I was saying it as a statement of fact. If you look at the concurrent active playercount, plus the % of people that unlocked many of the early-game and mid-game achievements, you'll notice very few of the people who bought the game really put much time in it at all. Again, I'm not saying this like I'm celebrating the fact, just making an observation in addition to expressing my own frustration with this game's many poor aspects. Best wishes to you on your sailing expeditions!

Ok, then we both interpreted more into what we read than what we actually meant. No, I just wanted to understand the statement you made. Because I've read comments of this kind very often over the past few months complaining to players about the difficulty of getting ahead in a game. Thank you, I wish you that too.

i think royal navy treasure ships only sail during night time. just like the ghost ships that can only be encountered during night. i myself searched a long time until i found one and i noticed that all royal navy treasure ships i encountered where during the night.
PS: sorry for my bad english
