Throttle always on? No reverse?

I'm having a hard time with this game because the throttle is always on, and holding forward just adds more throttle. Braking will stop my truck, but I can't reverse. Am I missing something or is this bugged? I've completely changed all my settings but nothing works.

I've verified my game files twice, and reinstalled twice. This also happens with mouse/keyboard completely unplugged from my computer, so it's not just a stuck key. It's so frustrating. D:

When you say you've completely changed all your settings, does that include controls?

Can you try binding accelerate to something else? Testing it again, and then resetting to default. Do you have any other controllers plugged in?

Changed settings includes keybinds, as well as control deadzones. Tried to leave accelerate unbound but I can't. I have altered all keybindings and reset to default multiple times. No other controllers are hooked up.

The throttle isn't stuck at 100% either, it's about 50%. It's enough that I can win a race without against easy AI without touching the accelerator. With the top engine upgrade, there's still enough throttle when I let off that it can spin me out in the corners. Whenever I'm in the air, the throttle maxes out even if I'm holding the brakes.

By holding the brake, I can stop, but can't reverse. So if I get stuck against a wall in free style/destruction, I often get placed directly facing the wall again after reset and have to restart the run.

If I launch the game with only my mouse plugged in, I still get the same thing.

We're looking into this for you. Can you let us know what hardware you are using in terms of controllers? Wheel, controller, keyboard?

If you use a gamepad or wheel, you can try to recalibrate them in the Windows control panel.
Sometimes it can be a mechnical/physical problem with your hardware.

Only using mouse/keyboard. Roccat mouse and Microsoft keyboard. Plugged in a controller to test, but the problem was happening well before that.

Roccat mice confuse some games as they show up as a game controller. I would try plugging in a different mouse and see if the problem goes away, or unplug the mouse and try the controller again.

Was going to suggest looking at whether you have combined pedals selected but saw that you''re not using a wheel/pedals - strange one.

I have a Roccat Kone AIMO mouse and use wireles Xbox controller for the game and never had any problems.

My Roccat Tyon has an analog lever on it to adjust walking speed in FPS games so it shows up as some weird device in a lot of games. Just wanted OP to rule that out.

I have been having the same problem. i launched the first time and it was fine, the next day the acceleration seems to always think its half way in. i have a logitech g29, and the Trustmaster T3PA pedals. I tried a xbox 1 and ps4 controller and the same issue keeps happening.

Any fix for this issue? I have wired xbox 360 pad. throttle is stuck on.
I've tried:
Calibrate gamepad in windows control panel
Changed keybinds to buttons rather than analog triggers

I have fixed the issue.
I have a Logitech G13 "game board". The thumbstick was configured as arrow keys, but there was still a joystick showing in game controllers panel. I have disabled the joystick in windows device manager.

Is there a way to remove all the bindings from this joystick so I can re-enable it in windows device manager?

Was there ever any solution found to this? First launch and throttle is stuck at about 50% and no way to unbind the wheel section in case the game is picking up something as an input that it shouldn't be.

It went away after the first or second major patch.

After reading a few of the comments left by others, it might have been my Logitech G13 having some conflict. I can't remember if it was plugged in at the time, but now that it's in storage after moving (too lazy to dig it out to test) I don't have the problem. Maybe it's a problem with logitech stuff?

having the throttle issue with a fanatec set up cant figure it out
