You can always backstab her and not go along any reform though.
I always have Manus killed/sent off or I compromise on letting her see him as a sidepiece but after marrying Axel.
I never specifically forbade her to see him but I'm not interested on a democratic route so it makers no sense to marry them.
I then stopped him from doing so, but used it as leverage against Manus to leave the country, which he agreed to do immediately if you released his mother from exile. There's a few dialogue issues where he's still present despite leaving the country though lmao
Vina then married the Duke of Pales freely for me, she has some reservations at first but then immediately is fine with it (this may have some relationship requirement with you though I'm not sure how it works)
Curious, she never denies me when I tell her to marry Axel. Do you let her come to the council and choose the most lip-service options to her? (compliment her whenever she talks about stuff, etc)
- in the prologue, fall in love with Lena (Vina's mother) and spend more time with the family
- allow Vina to sit on your council and ask for her opinions whenever possible
- in the beach scene, be honest with her (say you will marry her off if necessary bc that's part of being royalty)
- during the hunt scene, rescue her from Rico (say you want to come back from the hunt with her)
- let her have fun with Manus, don't control their relationship
- convince Manus to leave the country when the time comes
I've made these choices, and Vina was a-okay with my decision to betrothe her to Axel.
I'm trying to remember exactly what I did, I didn't rescue her from Rico I don't think [but I'm not 100%] but everything else was pretty much good.
Anyway, it turned out okay and my playthrough was good, but Vina's disappearance was the only sour part.
I married and produced a male heir
Formed the Alliance
Cut out Wehlen with Rumburg
Cut out Lespia from Pales
Defeated the Wehlen vote for Zille [but probably would have won a vote since I set up various groups to influence the people]
Brought peace between Deridia and Morella
Wine with Suzerain
Enacted a lot of welfare [tax credits to businesses/health regulations for all mining/funding for education and health/one time stimulus]
Removed Rico
Built Dam and a few other projects and then in the last turn built up the Shipyard/Support Factory/Lowered conscription to 18. I won't see the benefit of these because of endgame but at least I know in my canon they're useful down the line.
So overall a good playthrough and was happy for my first time, just sad Vina didn't get to be her new grandmother!
