Future DLCs for Suzerain - What's Next?
Hey fellow Suzerain fans,

I've been really enjoying the political intrigue of Sordland, and the recent "Kingdom of Rizia" DLC just took it to another level. Playing as King Romus Toras of Rizia, dealing with all those geopolitical challenges, was a whole new experience (Rock Paper Shotgun) (Wikipedia).

The "Amendment" update was pretty cool too, with all its new scenes, bills, and news events. It's great to see Torpor Games and Fellow Traveller keeping the game fresh with more expansions and updates (Fellow Traveller Games).

So, I was wondering, what do you all think we can expect from future DLCs? There's so much potential for new stories and scenarios. Maybe exploring different regions or diving deeper into Sordland's politics?

I'd love to hear your ideas and hopes for what's coming next in Suzerain. Who knows, maybe our suggestions might even inspire the devs!

Can't wait to see your thoughts!

Torpor Games are working of a new game called "The Conformist" set in the Suzerain universe where you work in the Sordland Government in the newly formed Tarquin Soll administration.

As for further DLC I guess it mostly depends on how well Rizia sells. There certainly is a lot of potential. Personally Republic of Qinal seems interesting as it keeps cropping up in news articles from both games but not an awful lot is known of it

I love the new DLC. Rizia seems to need some polish here and there , but it was much funand a great experince. I know some ppl want its featured implemented into Sordland, but I dissagree. I like that the countries "play" different and have different mechanics. I think that is what I hope for. I don't want a specific country to play next, I'm fine with almost any country in the Suze-verse, but just like Sordland and Rizia it should not onyl feature dieffernet political challenges and characters, but also mechanics that fit its story and theme.

I think playing as Wehlen would be interesting since it plays such a massive role in both the base game and DLC. Seeing things from their perspective and dealing with their problems in our own way would be fun. There'd also likely be additional options for the new military mechanics for Wehlen. Rizia's military options are very limited while Wehlen could likely fight an entire war on it's own even if it's diplomatic options are very limited. The main challenge of the DLC would be that none of the world leaders trust or want to work with Wehlen to a large extent. Plus the Bluds issue is one of the biggest issues in both the base game and the DLC

I'd love them to tackle a theocracy next. We get to be like the Pope and exercise a lot of soft power trying to influence nations around us to adopt our religion. And using proxy states to fight wars for us. I think there'd be a lot of potential there for letting us be the leader of a religion and trying to spread our beliefs. Family dynamics could still work but rather brothers and sisters instead of children.

We could go from one extreme, basically declaring ourselves a God (or his avatar) to being the most holy and humble.

Would love a DLC like this.

I think they should have the next DLC take place after Rayne's administration. Have it be in the 60s or 70s, and in another continent.

I d like to see super powers, Arcasia and Contana, maybe in a Double DLC so you can play therm both. And also i think the war mechanic should be less granular. The president or king doesnt command divisions, he is making strategic decisions and approving military plans.

They wanted to take the game in more of a grand strategy direction with the war mechanic. While the base game was more realistic I like the new war mechanic from a gameplay point of view. Super powers would be cool though

I would prefer a smaller power you hear about in different areas dealing with the superpowers (Nalipurna, xina etc) and their machinations. It would go into dealing more with warfare, insurgencies, legitimacy in the world stage and trying to hold an unstable country together

According to what devs have already said on various occasions, I believe we can rule out a couple of nations, like Lespia and Wehlen. My guess is Agard next.

Personally I think some rendition of Rumburg would be great. It's a behemoth externally, but, it is fractured, has a civil conflict, internationally it is relaitvely isolated, has lost territory but has endless potential.

I am hoping they make the game semi-endless, so you can take up the role of Franc Rayne.
