So, how do we crush the Bluds in this version so that they don't throw out the Wehzek troops when they're marching through Bergia?

Well it's possible to avoid war with Rumsburg altogether without joining any pacts...I just had a runthrough where I did that somehow after failing to placate the Bluds. I opened up the oil companies for foreign investment up to 49% and invited the whistleblower. Said nice things about monarchies in interviews, and left military as is (kept conscription, modernized it). Had alliances with 2 countries.

Afaik you need to do less things to piss off the Bluds than you do to please them.
