The fact I joined the Nationalist Party literally never came up except for when I told my son about my past, and he just kind of rolled his eyes. Really disappointed that there wasn't more interaction with either party, I ended up somehow as a centrist despite a lot of pro-national choices and was despised by them but loved by the communists - even though I was a capitalist super power with private prisons and schools?
Son failed college exams and I had him enrolled on my status as an alumni.
Also they always said I prioritized work over them despite picking them every single time.
Really seems like a lot of it didn't matter, the narrative ignored what didn't fit.
To solve that, some of those opening options would basically have to end the game before it starts. Or they have to rewrite some of the allowable choices - no way you could be a full on communist and rise to be president in the USP.
Having said that, I still found most of the dialog and choices to be more relevant than similar games.
