Best political game since Hidden Agenda on the DOS
Ever since downloading Hidden Agenda off some abandonware site in the early 2000s, I craved a game that gave the same experience but was disappointed every time. I fully expected this demo to be mediocre but was shocked by the quality of writing, production values and world building. You have a Day 1 buy from me.

Oh good, I'm not the only one who thought this game was very similar to Hidden Agenda. I am super looking forward to this game as well and think its really a neglected form of gameplay. Also looking forward to picking this game up at launch.

YEAH! It's a real hidden gem. I'm always surprised if I ever meet another person who has played the game.

It's pretty obscure old DOS game where you're sworn in as the first president of a fictional south american nation called Chimerica (Chimera America lol) after a brutal dictator is ousted. You have to set your 3 cabinet seats from 9 different candidates from 3 different parties (Rich old money capitlists, Centrist technocrats or hardcore communist party ex-guerillas) and every "season" you can make 3 actions where you can speak to various important people (trade union leaders, US and USSR ambassadors...etc) and you can select from two choices on how to deal with the situation PLUS one additional choice that your relevant cabinet member adds (ie, if you put someone in the Minister of Foreign Affairs slot, he will give you an additional choice for encounters with ambassadors).

You try to make it to the end of your term without getting couped by various internal and external forces or getting assassinated. You can pretty easily find a download for it.It's one of my favourites to introduce people to political thought, IIRC it was made for intro political science courses.

Hidden Agenda was absolutely boss, and I was strongly reminded of it when playing the demo. I look forward to the full release intently.

I love Hidden Agenda. I had it back in the day of the floppy. I haven't seen anything nearly like it since, though I have looked from time to time. After playing the demo I definitely agree this could be as awesome as it was.

Totally agree. This game is the most solid strategical proposal in the entire year, with a quality that surpasse without issues any suppossed AAA game.

Funny. As soon as I noticed this game store page - my first thought: "Hidden Agenda?"

Yes! That's the game I couldn't remember the name of. Suzerain is scratching that itch for me right now.

100% agree. I'd even go so far as to say this is wildly better than Hidden Agenda.

Personally, I think it is better than hidden agenda, but both are good
