Looks nice and original, would be awesome in VR
I know VR support adds work for dev teams, I know VR hype is much lower.

Still, 3D diorama-style really shines in VR, you feel immersed in living toys, models or (like here) corrugated carboard cutouts, at the right scale.

As the game already is 3D, it will make VR support easier. But the camera control would be different, as the player can look and move around almost everywhere, so that would need some creative idea to integrate well.

I am a huge Machinarium fan since it was out, it is impressive what Amanita Games managed to do. Small anecdote, my then-toddler girls learned to use the mouse with Mahcinarium :)

Not everything needs to have VR. It just increases the development time and cost. I swear VR enthusiasts are like a cult.

Sure. But for this game it could be great.

I know that, and I even wrote it in the first line of my message. Can you read ?

Probably you would be in that cult if you had actually tried VR.
Just imagine you had a color television while almost everybody else having only black&white. Wouldn't you like more films/series to have actual colors ?

I have tried it, it wasn't all that cool and I would rather spend my money on other things. TBH some folks don't like to be immersed and have your senses from the outside world cut off for a number of reasons, in some it causes motion sickness so it's a total no go.

It's really not going to ever be mainstream because not everyone can or wants to use it so it's more of a novelty. I see AR beating it out for workflows ect.
