cant turn bike nose down in the air after latest update.
I am not liking the new "Increased the strength of the helpers" change in the latest update. in air even with the break gyro can hardly get the nose to go down. And I dont want to have to change to pro physics to disable it. can the devs at least give an option to enable or disable this on its own please?

actually even though it says in the update notes this is disabled in pro physics it isnt. its even worse in pro physics to get the nose down in the air. please change this back, this new change completely destroys the ability for rhythm

Hi there!

A few notes which may be helpful:
* Regarding the helpers, they are completely disabled with Pro Physics On and any stick inputs while in-air with Pro Physics Off will override the assists entirely.

* Nose Up/Down (Bike Pitch) is primarily controlled by the wheel gyro and rider lean (forward/back) and still very much free in 2.11. You can change this gyro behavior with the "Reflex Gyro" toggle in Gameplay Settings. With Reflex Gyro enabled, the bike will pitch up/down based on the rate of change in the speed of the rear tire. With reflex gyro, the bike will pitch up as the wheel accelerates (gas) and pitch down as the wheel decelerates (brake). Without reflex gyro, it will do the same but in a constant way and not related to the change in rotation speed for the rear wheel. (This will be better documented in the UI in 3.00)

* The "Airborne Throttle" toggle in Gameplay Settings is set to "Auto Disable" by default, which will cut the throttle automatically (until you release and press the gas again) - this is intended to help new players not loop out when going off the face of a jump while holding the gas. You can disable this assist by selecting "User Input". In this mode, the game will never interrupt your throttle input.

With all of that said, if you are struggling to get the nose of the bike down I'd suggest disabling Reflex Gyro and getting on the brakes in-air plus leaning forward if you really have to - the bike should get nose down quite fast.

One last thing to be aware of is your tune! Having +3 on brakes and +3 on acceleration will make the gyro effect stronger. Likewise, having +3 (Flex) on the chassis will make the bike easier to rotate in air as well.

Warmly,
Lenore

I tried all of this and still the bike flys through the air stationary with barely being able to move the nose down. I tested gyro on, off, all tuning +3, and -3, and bike still is barely controllable in the air. Especially getting the nose down. I use the brake and gas gyro and now when tapping the brake is does hardly anything with the setting on and off there is no difference. I was happy with the last updated physics, but this one I cant even play the game.

Would you be able to record a clip with some notes on your inputs and then share it over on our MX vs ATV Discord in the #bugs-discussion channel? That would be the best way for us to better understand what you're seeing and why.

We are not able to reproduce any issues with controlling the pitch of the bike in-air at this time nor seeing issues with it from players online so hopefully that will help us better understand what's going on in your case. Thanks!

I can record a screen capture but not sure how to upload it? Also the gas gyro still works good and moves the front end up well, but the brake gyro does hardly anything at all. I also noticed before on the left stick there was forward and back control in the air, and now it doesnt do anything in the air and only the right stick moves the bike a little forward and back, but before both sticks did.

I would recommend going to discord for sharing video as it's not so easy here (although you could use google drive, etc)

With that said based on what you describe, can you check your gamepad/controller settings in game and try resetting your input mappings? Also can you confirm that you are not in single stick mode? (What you are describing sounds a *lot* like you somehow got single stick controls enabled by mistake)

Can you describe which stick is behaving how?

Thanks!

I dont have discord. I reset my controller settings in game and re-calibrated it out of the game. it is not in single stick mode and it works fine in other games as well. Also I ride with the camera angle on the right of the rider so i can see the front end. When the cam is behind the rider you cant really tell if the nose goes down, try to ride with the cam angle to the left of the rider and you will see it.

Also did the devs take away the ability to control the rider in the air with the left sticks up and down?

Another issue I am having that seems related is it is a lot harder to bring whips back. I can start the whip fine but it is so much slower bringing it back now. Its seems like with the new update they left the gas gyro but brought the brake gyro down to almost nothing and took away the up and down control on the left stick in the air.

I played it again on my steak deck luckily with the older update and basically after hitting the jump the nose of the bike would start going down until the landing. With this new update after hitting the jump the bike is completely stationary the whole time in the air. You can really see it if you have your camera angled behind the rider to the right or left.

The nose starts going down in air after hitting the jump in the older mx vs atv games like reflex and Mx Bikes which is how it was in legends until this new update. it was more realistic but now with the new update the bike is just level the whole time in the air. Can you make an option that it can be renabled please?

I also was able to control the bike in the air when pushing the joystick up left, and up right directions.

Also the whips were a lot easier and faster to bring back. throwing them is still the same speed but bringing them back in now is a lot slower. I tried scrubs and whips and both are slow bringing back. Can the devs look into this please?

Whips are fine, better than they've ever been! It's much easier to do different variations and the bikes actually feel like they have some weight when you're throwing them around. Using throttle in the air can help you bring it back around.

Practice more instead of writing walls of text on a forum. The whips are fine.

Also the nose doesn't drop in MX Bikes either, it completely depends on brake/throttle/lean inputs.

The whips are fine throwing but slower bringing them in even using the throttle.

Next time an update to a game negatively affects how the game is being played dont raise your concerns to the devs, just practice more. People raising their concerns definitely didnt help improve the game over time.

I already know about the gas and brake gyros as mentioned in my previous posts.

I also have been testing bringing the nose down and if I start with the right stick then use the left stick it helps bring it down more. However the bike is mainly stationary in the air if nothing is done most of the time, and sometimes the nose comes down on its own, very inconstant.

Please explain why I am able to do a FRONT FLIP if it's impossible to pitch forward in the air?

I played the latest update today, thanks for adding the option to bring the nose down part of the pro physics replacement. I like it!

Np at all, thank you for bringing the feedback to our attention! If you have any other feedback don't hesitate to make a new thread for it!

Cheers

Braking in air to bring the nose down isn't working at all for me. The only way to level the bike is with the assist or by leaning forward in the air.
What am I doing wrong? Is it gameplay settings?
