Also, the rev limiter sound doesn't work when you hit the maximum RPM, but you can hear it incessantly when pressing the clutch while barely giving any gas for some reason.
This needs to be adressed.
agreed. lets hope that at some point they can make a proper audio solution that has the best of both worlds, or at least allow us to swap between the old and new audio. (though that would suck for new comers who have no idea about the new audio sucking for manual)
We've made some marked improvements to the shifting sounds in this latest patch. Please take a listen and let us know what can be improved.
well it's definitely an improvement that's for sure. but it only fixes the issue with not knowing in your redlining or not, i still have no idea where my rpms are at unless i'm looking at the speedometer, so knowing when to shift down or up to get the rpms where they need to be to get the most out of the bike is still a challenge, rip me on uphills X3. as for improvements... honestly i have no idea on what ya'lls could do, with how the audio is set up now i don't think there is any way to give players the audio feedback they'd need to know where their rpm's are at, like everything in life there's a trade off i guess lol.
btw thanks for letting me know ya'lls updated it, and thanks for taking feedback even if it's not the most helpful :3
Also, the new rev limiter sound is different from the other rev limiter sound you hear when the clutch button is pressed or when the bike is in the air. I'm surprised they didn't use that sound effect instead.
There are more improvements to the engine audio in today's patch. And we plan to make continued improvements to better reflect the RPMs on the engine audio in future patches.
thanks for the heads up.
i couldn't tell much difference with the new audio, though i can tell there is some sort of change that makes it a lil better, still nice to feel/hear improvements even if i can't put my finger on it tho.
also good move allowing people to swap back to the og sounds, i'll still be messing about with the new audio a bit though to try and give feedback but it's nice to have my shifts on point when needed
on a side note, love the new lighting at the compound, def makes a big overall improvement :3 (haven't messed with night or snow yet but i imagine they are both amazing as well)
Thank you for the kind words. I'll pass the compliments on to the team. We look forward to hearing your feedback.
