Split screen not working

After the last update, adding a second player in split screen no longer works.

Anybody having this problem or know a fix?

I am having this issue. My son and I both played split screen the first day we downloaded the game. the next day, I choose split screen and it loads like normal but when I get into the open world it is single player still. When I use the player 2 controller it does nothing besides the xbox button brings up overlay then activates something where i can start using the mouse with the analog stick and I took a bunch of screenshots by accident with RT. Steam controller settings are off... idk what to do
