I REALLY liked his storyline with Draith and one of my favorite sex scene CG's is on this path.
Just keep in mind that taking that route locks out some character interactions/storylines - There's really not much to do with Helayna, Shaya and Clihonna if you want to avoid m/f sex scenes completely, but it was a fun challenge to see how far I could go with that.
The threesome with Rowan, Greyhide, and Draith is *chef's kiss*
To be honest, to hit the maximum content in the game you have to play it in bisexual mode for both Rowan AND Alexia. Avoiding the female sex paths entirely would probably result in as fast and uneventful of a game as playing a 'pure vanilla' path for Rowan and Alexia.
I played Rowan in full homosexual mode once, as a heterosexual person myself it was interesting to fully suspend my own mindset to play a completely foreign one to my thinking, but I grew a bit bored of that path not only because I wasn't entirely into it but more because I felt like it was a little weaker. Draith and Greyhide had some romantic overtones but beyond those it felt like it was just sex for sex's sake. I get that some homosexual men are like that, but I keep getting deluged by others claiming it's just as romantic as with heterosexual men. So it felt a bit stereotyped in the negative direction.
Maybe I don't get much of a say there because I'm not gay at all, but that's just what my impression was when I tried it.
I normally do agree with ''straight men don't have a say on this'' but I really feel like you immersed yourself and showed a very open mind. That was an interesting read for me as a gay man.
I personally felt there's at least enough male options for it to be a viable game for those who like men, but that the number of options are very little compared to the female ones. (Which makes some sense. Gay men are a viable market, but not as much as straight men. Men would be surprised how many women have an interest in porn, but porn for women isn't made the same way.)
Like, if I try to remember from the top of my head what options we have - and it was a while ago so the specifics are vague and some may have been added:
-A Minotaur (story arc)
-A warrior you encounter while checking out a mine (a one time thing)
-A male elf (story arc)
-A spider-man hybrid (one time)
And that's kind of it.
There is no male equivalent of :
-The group sex on the girl Rowan tricked to get into the keep in the early game
-The time he stumbled on a fairy trapped and you can chose to basically take advantage of that or just free her.
Also not all, but a lot of the femdom scenes don't focus Rowan at all or very much - from memory at least. It's kinda sad for me because I like CFNM porn and I'm sure at least some straight men would want a focus on the lady but the man being at least very visible wouldn't bug them.
It's pretty significant content and in the last two updates they kinda upped that part of the game.
However, almost all of it can be avoided in vanilla or straight mode so it's not a requirement for Rowan to have any homosexual interaction and be successful in the game.
