Alexia also has the option of staying loyal or drift away from Rowan. If she chooses to cheat on him with Andras then she'll grow further apart from him. Your choices do matter, but there are choices you can do that don't impact their relationship for the negative. However, certain choices depending how you handle them, can either improve or hurt the relationship counter.
So, say you wanted to drive Alexia to one of the twins quicker, have them be in separate rooms. If you want to keep Rowan and Alexia together, sharing the room keeps them in a them vs the twins mind set and keeps them strong as a couple. However, as I noted, choices matter. Choosing one or the other doesn't mean they will stay or drift apart. It is merely one of many choices to make. :)
