Can't change controls

How do I change the controls? I've gone into Settings -> Controls -> Edit keyboard and while I can see all the keys available, the remapping doesn't seem to work. I'm hitting space/enter with the key I want selected. Is this not what I'm supposed to do?

Possibly relevant: when opening the game for the first time, I went to hit space to skip to the next thing while the "controller recommended" screen was up, and the screen transitioned to the next thing just as I hit space, before I had time to react. I ended up skipping through something which looks like it could have been a menu selection, but I didn't have time to see or read anything. What was this?

Hello!

At the bottom of the screen it should say something like "[N] Remap Input". Press whatever key that's displayed there and it should work.

In the beginning there's right now a Brightness screen but we might remove that from future versions. You can access the same screen from the settings right now though.

I'm having a similar issue with control assignment too. I'm using a Switch controller with Steam so maybe that's messing things up? (since the letters are inverted from a XBOX controller). But regardless after the buttons are changed they don't actually change the in game controls for me.

ahhh, all key/button names are invisible for me which is why I didn't know which key to use. I've mentioned this in the Discord, if you're in there (don't know how many of you there are!)

Oh cool, I did find that in the settings menu anyway.

My attack button is sadly not set to anything so I can not attack at all.

I've tried remapping(It doesn't show me a button to use, but N worked) and it just resets when I'm all done with the remap.

I look forward to the hotfix.
Oh also I can't leave the remap controls screen. It's completely locked.
