So how does exactly replaying chapters works?

Considering how much im loving the game, im planning to go full achievements, but i read something weird about it: if you replay a chapter, the game loads your save for that chapter, meaning that your achievements progress is reset to what you had at the time. So for example, to reach max exp level you have to stun almost every single enemy in the game right? I missed 3 exp in the first chapter, so if i replay it, that exp doesn't count to the current exp i have? If i miss breaking a WC door, and i replay a chapter to break it, it doesn't count too? I find it very weird so an explanation would be appreciated, thanks.

I have the exact same question! I currently at chap 8, I want to continue the game, but I want to redo some old chap to get a 100%, It's will reset my progress at Chap 8? Or I can restart at chap 8 without losing everything?

I haven't tested this but I have missed perfect on a few of the early chapters and still got jesse to max level. I am not sure how many points you need but I seem to recall missing at least 4 or 5 points in the first 3 chapters and got it. I am curious to find out how chapters work myself but I already have all achievements except for the one for beating hard mode unlocked and they seem to stay unlocked when you start a new save game so I am not sure if I can answer that for you.

Nah its not that well implemented. If you miss some collectible achievement like a bath door, a pottie, or even killing certain number of enemies a specific way, if you replay that chapter the achievement count resets to what you had at the time (basically the game loads a previouis save), so replaying chapters is useless unless you want to pratice for iron man runs or to get certain achievements like the boss ones.
