Stuck in loading screen... for private single player!

title, i just bought the game but cant play it at all, i start it, create char, and got stuck for 30 min in loading screen tried, restart pc, update drivers, update windows, run as adm, run from files etc etc nothing seems to work. I CANT PLAY THE GAME AT ALL EVEN IN SINGLE PLAYER

You can look into the log file (root of enshrouded). Scroll down and there should be lines with some "E" indications. Post these lines here, so the community is able to help.

Please give also some infos of your current used rig, it will also help.

i am stuck in the endless loading screen since last update and my log files went from 150kb to 4700kb but is just filled with this line

[E 00:03:16,029] [graphics] vkAllocateMemory of 67108864 bytes from memory type 8 for "RenderView 'GameWorld' (settings dependent)" failed with error 'VK_ERROR_OUT_OF_DEVICE_MEMORY'
any idea what would have done this since last update?

That means your GPU has not enough memory to drive this game properly. You need at least 6GB VRAM (for Intel Arc Cards they used around 3.6GB VRAM).

I have the same problem but I have 16GB of RAM...

But the logs are saying the 'VK_ERROR_OUT_OF_DEVICE_MEMORY' for me as well

RAM is not VRAM, VRAM means the memory of your GPU. RAM means the working RAM of your PC.

Yes, thank you, I see that now and I do have 3.6, but my brother has a laptop with like 1.6 gb and it works fine for him

The game ran perfectly fine until one the last updates, or at least a patch to one the updates as i did play and get into the new area. maybe it has something to do with loading that area....

Did the VRAM requirements change? I played it pre=release on my 3gb video card just fine.

I think so. First it was 4GB VRAM and now it is 6GB. You can try lowering the resolution and the quality for less memory usage.

On portable devices it is possible to aquire some RAM as VRAM - shared memory - of course of the lack of performance. Good luck to you and I wish you a merry X-Mas.
