Stutters when trying to glide? (SOLVED)

I run the game just fine at high settings, but when I jump and press the button to glide, my game stutters and freezes for a bit. I even lowered the graphics settings to see if that would help but it does not. Only stutters when I try to glide, has anyone run or is having this issue?

I have had it happen, but only once or twice, which is more than enough.

**UPDATE**

Found what was causing the issue, by turning off steam cloud, it removed the stuttering issue when gliding. ~ hope this helps anyone with the same issue in the future ~

For a lot of people, the character appears to only be in the steam cloud save directory, the Windows Anti-Malware seems to constantly validate that file and significantly hinder the performance of the game. This helped a lot :

Add the
\\Steam\userdata\USER_ID\...
directory to the exception folder for your Virus and threat protection.

In the windows search bar : Search
-> Virus and Threat Protection
-> Manage Settings (under Virus and Threat protection settings)
-> Add or remove exclusions (under Controlled folder access)
-> Add your steam install directory : \\Steam\userdata\USER_ID\ (Big number)
Note: you can go more precisely with \\Steam\userdata\USER_ID\75177138\... which is the Enshrouded game Id.

It keeps the Microsoft antimalware from constantly checking the cloud saves of the character while playing.

I had the same problem and as @dreadghorg said my saved gameplay disappear when turning off cloud save.
As some other threads pointed out, I had my steam on a HDD and the game on a SSD. Moving my steam to the SSD solved the issue.
