EDIT: It took a VERY long time, but finally was able to get to the character selection screen.
I was pretty close to giving up on it, I mean who wants to wait 10 or 15 minutes to load each time?
Already have it on the SSD.
Using Nvidia RTX 4080 and it takes like 1-3 seconds for preprocessing every tme i start the game here. Sometimes it's so fast i don't even see the message. Note i have shaders OFF in Steam. settings/downloads/enable shader pre-caching OFF. You may miss it in my video if you blink. Just rewind to 1st second of the vid.

Note was using Steam's recording ability. This requires the following launch options code to display RTSS overlay in Steam screenshots or recordings;
Now recompiling like after a game update or gpu driver update may take a bit comparatively. But we're talking well under 1 minute here.
Compiling shaders has never been an issue for me. I think Hogwarts took the longest last year at 4 minutes or maybe some other game. But i was using a 12 year old cpu a year ago. And while i had an nvme and modded bios to support it it was using a pci slot adaptor so was very slow. I do recall giving up after 4 minutes or so on 1 game. I hit alt/f4 and restarted it and it finished quickly. So people that have these compiling or preprocessing issues always seem very odd to me.
Thats so strange! I run a 4060 as well and its a solid 5 minute wait to load mine personally haha. Sometimes Computers are too complicated for me lol
