Problems connecting to Nitrado-hosted server
We are a group of 6-8 players, so we got a dedicated server.
So far we have had nothing but trouble since launch-night.

We got a server from nitrado.net
The server runs smoothly, we just for the most part can't connect to it.

Of our group, usually just 1-2 players can see and log in to the server, the others have to join via steam friends list. Then we can play just fine.

I have tried different stuff, forwarding ports in my router, making sure both client and server have the same game version running (wich is difficult because the server and client use different designations for the version number) etc.

I am just running out of ideas.
There is a guide in the guides section here, but that does not seem to work for me.
The IP adress of the server doesn't host any servers, according to steam. The server is running, though and can be pinged.

Can anyone help?

I tried changing the password, restarting the server, and reinstalling the game... nothing worked.
A temporary solution was to join the server by joining a friend who was already in the server but I found a solution to join without having to rely on them every time.

THIS IS WHAT WORKED FOR ME, hopefully it will work for you...
1. Have your friend join the server
2. Open the server browser through steam by selecting View->Game Servers
3. Select the friends tab
4. Right Click on the Server and add it to favorites
5. Try connecting to the server though the Steam Server list

After that, the game started up and I was able to join the server without the "incorrect password" error message showing up anymore AND I am now able to join without having to rely on a friend.

Sounds like a server provider issue.

Cant find nitrado server in my game list, added it to my steam servers just fine, but inside the game itself it wont show even after adding it to favorites

Ive used nitrado now for ark, dayz and enshrouded and it has been a horrible experience every time without fail. customer support is always rude and condescending and are never helpful. i had to argue and send like 10 emails back and forth just to get them to verify a servers ip for me one time. all i can say is if your considering a private server, look other places before giving them your money. they're horrible

I dont get what you guys are saying when you say "have your friend join the server" - if they also get ERROR: Joining game failed message - doesn't make sense. notes:
1. nitrado server is up and running, confirmed at https://esquery.suhosting.net/. Had to make sure I used the listening port or "Query port:" which Nitrado uses 11001.
2. shows up in steam servers for me correctly
3. shows up in-game correctly, I can enter the password and try to log in
4. errors out after 10-20 seconds.
5. file in the log seems to have same version # as the current game (today is 491572)
6. have already started stopped restarted a few times ,even tried to do a complete wipe of the server and install fresh using nitrado "Reinstall" function from the bottom left of the portal page
7. the enshrouded_server.json file seems correct
8. there are other log files present on nitrado backend but idk what they do or should say...

have an email support ticket going with nitrado but so far no help - my guess is they screwed up the software install on the server or its not patched somehow?

What you describe is a different problem that the one we discussed.
We had trouble with the server not showing up in the server list. When it did for some people, we could all join via "friends playing".
Your problem never occured to me or my friends. Sorry, I got no advice for you. Good luck.

Nitrado is the worst hoster, they provide servers that don't meet the specs for the intended purpose (Not enough RAM etc).

Not same issue as original post, but I am having this exact problem. Been back and forth with support with no real help. Went back and forth with their Community Helper on Discord, but nada. At least they were trying to help.
