Character reset

on a dedicated server not having to much trouble with buildings being deleted but our characters keep resetting from last save and wont save further, we caught it early so only a little progress was lost but cannot continue playing as even if we stash everything we will never level up.

i haven't seen anyone fixing this problem, we gonna refresh the server and hope nothing gets lost and it if fixes the save states of the characters have a server refresh at set times. maybe go into different worlds with same char and hope it fixes it.

Tons of folks have hit this. I've personally uninstalled the game until they figure this out, as I've lost about 75% of the time I've put into this game, progression-wise. Game shouldn't be out in the public in this condition... I'll put up with nearly anything bug-wise, but consistent player progression loss is a non-starter.

I had the same problem today. 45 hours of playing time and especially in the last 6 hours I found a lot of legendary weapons and made a lot of progress, as I was actually only exploring high level areas during that time. and exactly these 6 hours were simply deleted when I returned to the main menu. The character was back to the previous day. This means that 6 hours of playing time, some levels, legendarys and coins are gone. With bugs and unfinished things in early access you can ignore it or expect it (which I haven't had before) but that doesn't work at all and makes the game unplayable because any progress is useless because it can simply be gone again at any time . For this I give it a thumbs down and unfortunately uninstalled the game again so that I don't waste any more time.

This is a major issue, both me and the wife have lost 12+ hours total of progression on completely different servers, because of this.
They should, at the very least, address it.

an update

the server has been rebooted and all structures built yesterday were all reset to the last time the game saved. essentially all progress lost now instead of just lvls
