getting tin bars is preposterous

having to get 20 tin ore for just 1 tin bar is atrocious then i need 60 tin or for 3 tin bar for ten bronze bars i have to dig out so many veins to get plenty of bronze for amour and tools + magic items that need tin

Yeah, it sucks. Just farm the spire for bars by breaking pots IMO, it's faster. Also, I'd just skip straight to iron since iron is ridiculously easy to make.

If you look at every metal it is always 10. 20 ore for 1 tin bar must be a typo.

I've got the impression it's a bug as well. Eudae's advice is solid. Especially in the late spires, there are excellent drop chances for tin, bronze and also iron bars. In the eastern areas of the map iron ore sources are fairly common and the recipe to melt it is way less grindy than bronze.
