My game won't close - task manager can't do it either.

Hi team,

Just wanted to let you know that my game just does not want to close or shut down. Not through steam not through task manager - literally nothing. I have to reboot the pc to get everything back again.

I did just uninstall the game and installed it again so I will try it out later to see if that helped. Verifying the files didn't help either.

Anybody else with this problem?

Yeah same Problem... I cant stop playing it is too much fun.

Jokes aside, i had the same problem when not closing through the Game Menu. if that dosnt helps try Updating your Windows and graphic driver this should help.

I already did all that but thanks either way. Just hope there's a fix coming. I still have to test it now after re-install.

This happens from time to time with various things. I open an admin powershell window (Win+X then A) and the run (for chrome for example):

 Get-Process chr*

That then shows a list. You can either use a partial name followed by * or if you know the full process name then use that. If you get the results you want then you can kill those processes by piping the kill command on to the end like:

 Get-Process chr* | kill

That should end it

I have the same Problem! Cant close the game correcly only by restart the hole PC. Taskmanager & CMD & Powershell as admin wont work.

Had the same issue last night.

Same issue. Checked on their Discord and I got the same basic stuff; update drivers, ALT-F4, task manager, kill it via cmd and nothing works short of a forced restart. This is annoying because it means that if I wanna play the game I know I'll have to restart my PC and because of that I play it less than I would like to. Because of that, I'd still make this issue a medium to high priority issue

This has happened with me from day 1. Tried everything. GPU update, Windows update, reinstall game. Launch game as admin, task manager is useless, etc. Nothing has helped. Hope devs have seen this

Yes. I’ve never seen any other game do this. It runs in the background but is basically doing nothing. Having to restart the PC after every gaming session isn’t the end of the world, but sure is an annoyance.
