Game crashed my AMD GPU Drivers
I was playing, I had been playing for 57 minutes without issue. Not even as much as a stutter. Out of nowhere the entire game froze while I was running from bees after harvesting their hive. After a good 10 seconds the entire game closed and I got a notification from AMD Adrenaline software saying it reset the driver due to an issue. In addition my right monitor entirely lost response to my GPU and I was forced to restart my computer. After the restart the monitor started responding again. The current driver version is 23.12.1. I am also using a Radeon 7900XTX 24GB with a Ryzen 9 5950XT, 64GB Corsair Vengeance, game is installed on an M.2 driver as well as the server I was hosting. The server did not crash.

Do you have Aida64 installed by any chance?

Ya i've literally had the same issue with my 7800XT. Had a really bad crash just now, screen went black, computer sounded like it was speaking in morse code lol. Guessing this wasn't really tested on AMD GPUs.

This right here literally is the same thing that has happened on like all amd cards since my 280, i completely stopped buying amd at this point. When it resets the driver like that it is the most annoying thing i ever encountered and thus i stay with nvidia now because it never does that which is a shame because from the 280 and below i used to be firm as a nail when it came to my love for AMD.

Updated my RX 6800 XT driver to 24.1.1 before starting the game, no crashes in 2 hours. Demo worked fine too with 23.12.1.

I am using AMD aswell I fix the crash solution by installing the previous driver. In windows forums they say latest drivers are not that stable and may cause problems running new games (I had problems with unreal 5 games)

Disable Windows Update from installing graphics drivers automatically without your permission. This same issue happened to me and that was the cause. Have not had any issues since.

It did require me to reinstall the drivers completely after I had disabled that dumb update "feature" so you might need to do the same.

6750xt on latest drivers works fine.

Just out of curiosity, what frames are you getting? (I assume you are running 1440p?) I'm considering getting this game, and I also have the 6750xt, which is why I ask.

No I run at 1080p because my monitor and my CPU (1600x) are rather old now.

In addition to 16gb RAM i get 70fps in starter area. This is with most graphics at high and shadows at performance and SSAO to off.
FPS is higher at night and I haven't experienced any stutter as i move through the world map. It stays above 60fps which I'm fine with for now.

If your CPU is more powerful you should do fine but game seems locked to 60Hz so as long as you can get to there it should be fine. I expect performance optimization to come later.

You can always refund before 2 hours have passed of course, in case it runs bad.

Nvidia Software looks older than DOS.
AMD is awesome.

Many thanks for elaborating, much appreciated! So, personally I value high framerates over image quality. I'm fine with dropping quality settings to medium/low, but I really sensitive to low framerates. So, I dunno, I have a strong CPU, but 60fps sounds a bit scary, to be completely honest.

Thanks again!

I have noticed this issue with AMD across different model cards. My fix was to install drivers only and avoid their Adrenalin UI. It seems like the Adrenalin UI likes to make changes while gaming and messes up the drivers in the process. The features are just not worth installing that software.

This is a really useless post. AMD is fine, nVidia is fine, they both will work. It's a driver issue. Stop being a forum troll.

No the features are definitely worth it. I mean your fan curve is tied to that software, along with a plethora of other things. I think this game just needs more work. It wasn't ready for release.
