Contantly Crashing: "enshrouded.exe has crashed!"

Hi,

I'm having the same crash error since "Hotfix #3". It says it is fixing crash problems, but it is not...

"enshrouded.exe has crashed! A MiniDump has been created at 'B:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Enshrouded/crash_dumps/enshrouded_20240126_203636/' Would you like to upload it?"

Please fix the issue, it's weekend, and so many people having the same issue!

I'm using 3060 Ti and i5 11400F with 32GB RAM.

Likewise. I haven't been able to play for more than ten seconds before it crashes again. It was fine before this patch.

Running an i9 9900k, RTX 3080, 32GB DDR4 RAM.

Definitely related to the patch, and the graphics settings. it's definitely not my GPU or system, it's the engine changes pushed with this morning's patch.

When I turn down the graphic settings (via the .json file) from Max Quality to Performance, the game stops insta-crashing on load and I can actually play... Though the in-game performance is much worse than yesterday.

Seems we need to wait for another patch to fix the patch from this morning...

Yeah still crashing here too, usually in the first hour of play each time.

Me as well. Not as often as some are saying but crashes to desktop then when I log back in I am rolled back REALLY far. Like 10-20 minutes depending how long I played before it crashed. Sometimes it will give an error window that states an illegal exception and other times it just crashes with no error dialogue.

Same here since this morning. I tried all their fixes in the discord. Right now I'm running graphics so low it makes Valheim look like Elden Ring. Just now I crashed 5 times in the last 6 mins. At least it seems I'm not losing anything but prior I was losing everything in my inventory.

For me it is DLSS on Quality. I was playing around with different settings and when I set the prefab to Quality it was fine. As soon as I changed DLSS quality from Balanced to Quality it started crashing again.

That is strange, because I also set DLSS to Quality, too, however it won't work. I will try to lower down the graphic qualities, but I shouldn't have to! Because the game needs a proper and immediate fix.

I'm having the same issue. On a 2060 RTX. It was running fine before the update 5, now it crashes within seconds of entering the game.

Well, thought I would update. I got my game working. I had to do a clean reinstall of my Nvidia drivers, uninstall and reinstall Enshrouded. I launched Enshrouded through Nvidia Geforce experience, with the default graphics settings. And now it works. I played for 1.5 hours, and no crashes. Hope that helps someone.

I tried re-installation, it won't worked on my game. However, I will try to play on NVIDIA GeForce Experience, thanks!

It's weekend, and so many people like me can't play the game, because the crash won't fixed. That's poor game development organisation, ironically thanks...

yeah I want to play but when I lose progress and constantly fear of crashing out with huge loss to travel time then it just becomes unfun. Clearly it's something to do with drivers or their internal communication with them. I'm sure it's something they are aware of now but i'll just play another game till they fix it. Hopefully they find out what it is soon.
