The Graphic Memory Is Too Small

My ROG gaming laptop has a Nvidia 3050 Ti 4gb chip, the game minimum says 6gb, I was hoping it would have worked, the gam wont even start. Could the developers make the game run on 4gb with reduced graphics for us people that only have 4gb graphic cards? would love to play the game but I'm not going to buy a new laptop.

Hello! Yes this is a known issue, and can also be exaggerated if your graphics card has less than 6gb of VRAM (which is our current minimum requirement).

If you're running into this issue please wait until Oct 9th for our updated version of the demo, it will have several fixes that might help you :)

What is your GPU? You shouldn't been getting this error if you have a GPU above minimum requirements.

yup 6GB graphics memory quite a big minimum -- i know things get bigger with time, but if something like howartz ok on my pc... feels a bit op, and limiting for their audience -- hopefully they can optimise somewhat. i mean ive seen the demos and the graphics just good but nothing special.

3070TI, I9-13900k 64GB RAM, everything on low 1440p ->28FPS (with FSR2 on performance) 1080p =35 FPS. Absolutely unplayable

Not sure it's fixable. the game uses way more graphics processing than it really needs to. I've played every voxel based game known to man or machine and nothing really uses this much power. It's like it's loading all the terrain around you for a long way instead of just what you can see. Distant objects should be rendered with LOD and since the map is hand drawn not proc gen that should be easier. The way this game looks it shouldn't be using more of my GPU than realistic graphics ray traced triple A games. I really hope they can get this toned down.

I have 10 friends and we've played every game together for the past 10 years. Streaming stuff like cyber punk and starfiled and coop playing games like, starbase, dual universe, Empyrion, etc (Those are all voxel games of a sort) But I'm literally the only one with a graphics card with more than 6Gb of ram. I'm wondering if they did any research into the actual cards on the market and the people who play these kinds of games and the hardware they have.

6Gb VRAM limit is a HUGE limiter to the potential customer base and if My 10 friends can't play it. I won't be buying it either. And I think that'll be the issue for a lot of small gaming groups. If you have a group of 8 friends but only one or 2 can run the game then your gonna lose out on all 8 sales because what 2 gamers wanna play this while leaving 6 other friends behind. Not cool.

I think this should meet the minimum requirement?
