we ran into the same problem forcing us to split up storage when we like to keep it all in one place.
But just from a realistic pov it would also make sense to arrange depending professions next to each other or at least within near proximity. So having the farm and the alchemist spread apart from each other just as far as possible would not be a wise thing to be done in the real world either 🤪😁
I had to move my main storage area to the center of my town for the same reason. But it also made sense from a logistics pov so I did not regret it either.
I would understand such restrictions, if you could build wherever you want so you wouldnt have the chests 10km away but as it is now, its just dumb...
there are ways to prevent this if they even should stop people from doing this.
People put a lot of effort into designing their villages, having to rethink your layout because of a restriction like this really sucks.
it also makes it a lot easier to empty out your backpack after each run when you don't have to run all over the place.
efficiency is important.
