Silver?

Where can I find silver bars or a vein? I can't find much info.

I've set up a flame altar near the forge of obsidia. There's 2 little chunks of silver ore to mine in there, though mining silver never yields much.

Saying that, it's use is reasonably low.

In the Forge of Obsidia there is a boss-like enemy, right in the next room from where the silver nodes are, he drops an item called bellows. With it you can craft a blast furnace which turns silver ore and coal into the bars. Also you can kill the scavengers in the forge because they sometimes drop silver ore aswell.

Silver it seems can drop from all humanoids in the mountains

Let's not forget about Silver Dust if your character needs to use that.

I never make those, because I have a flame alter near the forge, I simply get some every time I go there - something like 220 each time.

Not wasting my silver on blocks!

there are nodes of silver way down at the bottom of the mountain in the shroud. i still think it has a ♥♥♥♥ gather rate but its there.

I found another good source of silver if you've cleared the red shroud. It's just west of Iron Heart keep. If you jump into the shroud at the west side of the keep and drop to the bottom, there's a trail. The silver is just off the trail next to a return beacon, so you can even restore your shroud time if necessary.

I got about 40 ore from it before my pickaxe died, so there is a good amount there, and you can run up either side of the gorge to get out of the shroud when you're finished.
