Your statement that 'It's been a long time' is debatable. The game has not even been out for a month yet. That's not a long time. Ergo, it has not been a long time since the last update.
I'm curious why you were expecting more. What experience in life made you think there would be multiple updates within weeks? Coding is time consuming and tedious. I think your expectation was not based on anything other than youthful impatience.
Yes, wait for years and years like the other lovely EA titles have done, for meaningful progress. I agree comrade! How dare we inquire of the studios plan/schedule! We need to take it and be happy like good little serfs.
A bit disingenuous to say it hasn’t even been out a month when that is just a few days away. It came out Jan. 24th, it’s currently Feb. 21st.
People are expecting more because that’s how the game industry works these days.
It’s been out for just about a month.
Show me.
lol so you have no idea what projecting is?
people complain cause there is not frequent enough bug fix patches.
so no matter what a Developer dose, there will always be a vocal minority complaining.
There is just no wining
Ah yes the good old, "well someone else is not good at it so no one should be"
Why are you people here defending the lack of roadmap, fixes, improvements ?
If you find the game to be perfect already then don't come to the forums where people come to give feedback. YOU are not the developer and have no right to deter others from having an opinion on the game.
The game has some very frustrating things in it right now like farming for example is clunky and tedious AF. This could be improved with a hotfix fairly easily.
The "classes" are not very well balanced and some of them are downright useless and terrible.
How could they decide to nerf water aura so fast but couldn't be bothered to deal with other things?
Also the demo that came out in 2023 was NOT far from the current game so all the BS "its only been out for barely a month is VERY disingenuous.
They are basically using EA as a playtest function. Here we are giving them our findings.
Stop with the "omg you people are impatient children" posts!
I have followed or played a number of EA games. Some have near daily code updates and good communication from the company focused on their plans. Others, like Valheim, end up in endless EA purgatory.
I really enjoy enshrouded and I do hope the devs end up being on the more active side of things. They at least have identified some major bugs/issues/features that need attention. They also have been fixing lots of smaller bugs which is good to see.
This was answered with the release of 0.7.02. Requesting this be locked.
Most early access games are dumpster fires that need to be patched that often because they shouldn't have been released in the first place.
This seems surprisingly well polished for an early access title, I've experienced a very small amount of bugs withing 150 hours and no crashes, in fact every one I've read about in the steam forums they address. Only thing lacking is more content, which we already know is part of V1, as we only have a third of the map.
Jan 24th 2 hot fixes put out (2 separate updates)
Jan 25th another hot fix
Jan 26th another hot fix
Jan 30th another hot fix
Jan 31st another hot fix
Feb 1st patch
Feb 7th another hot fix
Feb 26th second patch
By the time the OP made this post there was 8 updates/ patches/ hot fixes to the game. Anything that changes the files of a game requires an update. So either the OP didn't research before posting, they are impatient or purely trolling.
That's 8 updates in 3.5 weeks, I'd say that's pretty good for an early access game in their first month of existence.
