That's not really an announcement. Thats gloating.
Obviously they are going to release a patch or something "Soon." the game just released.
Also, creating dates and letting people know what plans are doesn't really take time i mean it does but doesn't.
As a company they already know what they are doing and communication is key.
Yeah i want a road map for sure too, but i would also like for them to be a little bit more clear on what they are actually going to do for the game and when.
Right now they are working on features but if you check out the feature upvote there is nothing "Planned" in there except for some quest comparisson thing that really doesn't matter at all.
The only things that are planned are more building blocks and uhm thats about it.
The reason more blocks are planned is duh... the games not finished.
It's super concerning because the other "Planned" thing which is removing the fog from peoples bases was already mentioned and we were told it was going to be removed upon release of the EA on the 24th which oh look its still there.
I don't actually notice any difference from the game then during closed beta to now besides the characters don't look all squished. (They didn't actually change the characters either, they just changed the FOV in a whole.)
I love this game and i hope for the future and with all that being said, transparency would be appreciated instead of just gloating about your income.
... honestly i need to think this post is a troll
because if it isn't then OOOOOF
Its a recent release and has had quite a lot of hotfixes already.
Couple that with the community post today about this exact question makes me think this is just yet another jester farming post.
Play something else while you wait. Stop being impatient.
It's actually not "a jester farming post".
Also calling me a troll because i'm curious is not a valid and correct thing to do.
So far in your whole statement all you did was call me a troll and state i was a court jester.
Pointless to post that but thanks.
Maybe next time add some real insight to the actual topic instead of the latter.
I also said you were impatient at worst and at best, ignorant of the many hotfixes that have come out since release, a release of which was extremely recent.
be patient, not many EA titles have released this many hotfixes in the short timeframe they've been on the store.
False, hot fix feb 8th. its the 20th.
"A release of which was extremely recent."
The very start of early releases you should expect a ton of patches and fixes within the first couple of weeks and then some.
Most EA titles release more hotfixes / patches in that amount of time.
do you not have other games to play and focus on, given the 'lack of update frequency' seems to be a personal problem for you?
i'll keep saying it, be patient.
It seems you keep bashing me personally because you don't like my opinion. This is the third post where you have bashed me. I am reporting you.
You do a lot of projecting in your replies.
I do, because i'm patient.
what exactly do you do in yours? other than say nothing of substance and merely point out the obvious?
The only thing I wish is that the developers or their mods would be a bit more active on updating us as to whats going on. It's always good to reassure your player base that you're gonna need time for something or if anything is delayed. When I worked as an artist, every member on the team had to respond to questions on discord and reddit depending on what it was of course. We also got feedback from a special selected players who were paying and supporting the game to tell us if our 3d models had some issues, ect.
I believe I saw a post from the devs. before stating that they plan to release a roadmap maybe three weeks after release. This however will depend on again their ability to profile the bugs and issues people are having. Looking at a bunch of lines of code isn't fun, especially when you crafted your own game engine as they have. In the meantime I got helldivers 2 which has its own issues but trying other games for now does help even though enshrouded can be addicting.
FYI, they posted a community post today.
Now, as someone that juggles multiple communities i feel you should know...
Not sure if you know this or not but Valve literally tell popular game devs to not do what you suggested. Mods responding to feature requests etc has caused turmoil for the developers, even when the feature was originally OK'd for release but later pulled for varying reasons causing backlash that would have never happened otherwise.
Valve have 'fired' mods that try to be 'community engagement officers' that engage the community and maintain the hype as a result.
The way Valve "dispatches" their mods is very much surgical, if a problem is identified they go in like Seal Team 6 and take out hostile targets and reorient the 'vibe' of any given forum. The fact it hasn't happen here should tell you everything. because it happened with the Vallheim discussion forums.
In fact, i saw a Valve mod get fired in real time trying to do what you suggested.
Now, when it comes to a studio and hired community engagement officers, the same thing is true. Outside of hype, they can't do much if anything. The community of any game is liable to turn on a dime and its a thing now where companies don't even want to chance it.
The hype and interaction is literally not worth it anymore when the backlash outstrips it 100 to 1.
Again, these things take time. AAA studios don't even update or release news as quick as you're expecting some small indie company to (Looking at you Starfield).
Idk if you're a Gen Z'r or something, but it kind of blows my mind how impatient and entitled people are. Don't worry, the game isn't going to become abandonware my guy. You can go to their feedback hub and literally look at what they're working on/planning to work on, and some of those things (which players have suggested) have already been implemented.
I really can't tell if you're trolling lol.
