Where is sand

I can't find sand anywhere. Can someone tell me where some is?

The desert (Kindlewastes) is full of it.
I think there may be a few patches elsewhere but don't have location on those.

The other day I was trying to go further to the east but ran up on the red developer limit line/fence thingy saying I could not go further.

May need to upgrade your flame level, that also raises the level of shroud you can enter.
