Quest: A test of skill question

How am I supposed to give the hunter fur? I have a whole stack, and even tried collecting some after equipping the quest, there's no option to give her fur or to even interact other that to craft, is this a bug or am I just stupid

Any crafting the NPC does uses the stuff in your inventory or your magic storage boxes - you do not hand them anything. Machines like the drying rack and kiln have their own storage so those you do have to place the materials into the machines for them to work. THe magic storage boxes are the glowy blue ones. Materials in the plain brown storage boxes are not visible to the NPCs (and materials in machine inventories are not visible either)

It wasn't for any crafting station, it was for a quest. I figured out the problem, it seems that certain quests are locked until you further progress the story/other quests. After completing a few I was able to interact with her and give the fur
