enemy red and white bar & cutting vs piercing vs blunt & endurance bar
many RPGs have this distinction. honestly I never paid much attention to it, should generule says dont attack skeletons with piercing.

Now in Enshrouded, is it worth the effort to learn which enemy is susceptible to which damage or rather a waste of effort?

The other thing which intrigues me is the health bar of enemies with its red bar and white bar. I wether get what that is meaning nor if its important.

Well, TBH, its the same with my endurance circle: It's also decreasing with two different colors ....

maybe too many questions in one thread?

You need different damage types, unfortunately your elements will not do DOTS, the enemies can though.
One room can have 3 different enemies that are vulnerable to 3 different types.
Sometimes it doesn't matter much, sometimes yeah.
have a blunt weapon for skeleton types and various others for boss types
The entire game we just wacked or shot them to see then switched accordingly if needed.

red bar health, white bar is the overpower bar (i think) if you have the skill unlocked and fill that you can do the use button for a pretty powerful attack, I never really messed with it.
The stamina "bar" is just multiple circles and having more of it is better for about everything, you can't dodge or block or do anything if it's out, use foods and be rested at all times to get more of it and more regen.

Parry bar is the little silver bar under the health bar.

i am pretty much at the end of the game and tbh
i do NOT notice if an enemy was weak or not to the dmg type i wielded against them

for most of the game = 2 hits maybe 3 for mobs that are equal to my level
1 for critters
now that i reached the lvl 30 mobs they are 5 levels higher then me its 4 hits or 3 if i crit (which the excetion of the towershield wielding shroud guys they take about 5)

so i see zero reason to be mindful of enemys weaknes to dmg type X

from lvl 7 onward i was running 2h (no matter which from blunt to cutting with piercing dmg with flame dmg mixed in) there isnt much diffrents on how often you need to swing at an enemy (which is not often)

maybe its a diffrent story with 1her

with the overpower/stun bar
a feature that a 2h user can almost never make use of because things are dead by the time the bar is filled up

For Hallow Halls definitely use blunt weapons, for all others I would guess it depends on the difficulty you are facing. If you are having a tough time completing a quest then trying different damage types might be in order. Upon damage you will see a little blurb above the mob that will say "effective" or "ineffective" to indicate their resistance. If you are seeing "ineffective" it's time to switch to different damage type. TBH I just use the same weapon that gives life and spam attack.
Red bar is their health, white is their stamina and when their stamina runs out they stand there not blocking and you can attack them w/o fear of a counterattack until their stamina regenerates, if they live that long.
I've pickaxed gates that said "ineffective" after hit, but over time those gates got destroyed so I assume "ineffective" really means "not as effective as some other type of damage" or perhaps "resisted"

What is the meaning of that?

IIRC its one bar. first a part of the red withdraws and showing white. then the white withdraws. then red again. etc.

A friend told me it's just a visual flavor that should help to see how much damage the last hit did ...

IIRC I dont saw a endurance bar of the enemie regenerating ...

A printscreen would definitely help. I dont have the best visual memory TBH.

If it's visual, then the following must be plain wrong then, right?
