Black powder needs HOW much nitrate?!
I haven't been really bothering with it, but since I have been struggling with this one sicklescythe down in the shroud, I figured it might be useful to try some explosive arrows.

Holy moly, SEVEN nitrate to make ONE black powder, along with a bunch of other stuff. And then every 25 arrows needs FIVE black powder. So 35 nitrate for 25 arrows. Nitrate isn't cheap to make!

I'd been thinking that mage had gotten the short stick with how fragile wands are now, but wow... I don't know how archers deal with the expenses for arrows if they're THAT expensive.

Agreed, explosive arrows and grenades especially are far too resource intensive for the benefit they provide.

I don't think they're meant to be used as your main arrows, just for special situations. They're great for knocking out enemy spawn points from a distance.

"Great for knocking enemy spawn points ...", well, so definitly your main arrow in the hollow halls, where there are many (nearly only) crowded mobs of enemies ... and yes, definitly too expensive!

And just to add insult to injury, if you shoot acid cleaver dude in the face with a painfully expensive explosive arrow, he just shrugs. Lol.
