I am against life leech
I don't think life-leech stat should exist. I know this is a PvE and it's all about fun, but I've found myself completely disregarding effective types of damage in favor or constantly leeching HP from enemies. As long as I'm alive I can keep dishing out damage and that's all that matters. What makes it even worse is that it's per enemy hit, not per swing, so the more the game punishes you by overwhelming you with enemies the stronger it actually becomes, and the wide sweeps of the one-handed weapons makes it even worse.

Please devs reconsider this stat.

Note: I immediately disregard everyone who says "just don't use it" because it's an age old faulty argument. The game might as well give you a 999 dmg weapon and be done with it, and then just don't use it. Delete all enemies, remove damage altogether, what's the point? Get infinite mana and stamina too. It's a PvE game so balancing is not a huge concern, but health leech goes against the devs' own design of using the right weapon for the right enemy type.

Sorry, but i really don't understand you people. It's like the mage-thing again. Why do you play something, that isn't fun to you?

Instead of just changing stuff, you rather complain and try to take away the fun from others.

Why?

you just described life leech, and what it is intended for. good for you

in case your fav losertuber didn't mention it, you can also choose to do fire, ice, lightning and poison damages as well. you dont NEED to use life leech. i know your fav losertuber suggested life leech so now you cant use anything else, but you could always try learning you're own class instead of being led around like a sheep.

great thread tho btw, good in case people dont know what life leech does.

For the millionth time: if there's an OPTIONAL item/buff/whatever in the game that you think is OP, then just don't use it you crackhead! Exercise some self restraint. Stop whining about features that other people like just because you don't like them. FFS

yeah...let's nerf mana & stamina leach while we are at it...then the game would really super mega fun time!! In fact, why don't we have the game reduce the players HP and movement speed for every enemy spawned?

Well, "just don't use it" ...

I immediately disregard everyone who says "it's an age old faulty argument" because it's an age-old faulty argument. Checkmate.

Don't like an ITEM in the game? Don't use it. Asking "why not get rid of health" is a non-sequitur argument. Fundamental components of gameplay are not equivalent to optional items that you can choose not to use.

If you're getting too fat, stop eating candy. Don't try outlawing candy. Self-control.

Life leech is not a bad mechanic. It's for a couple of purposes. It's an aid for people that need that extra healing for survival, which can happen when you take on challenging fights a little past your abilities (such as large groups of enemies or tough bosses). It is also useful when you just want to chill out and not worry about healing but you don't want to spec into healing magic for water aura.

So if you don't like Life Leech, move on from it. I use it when I feel like the extra heal is worth it, but a lot of times I would rather have something that gives me more damage. Often more damage equals less healing needed because things die faster, but not always. So switch it up if you need to/

Beating down large swarms of mobs if is very useful with a melee build. Running away and quaffing a potion is less fun.

keep leach and give me a vampire sword too...

Personal choice.
