that's all fine in theory, but in reality it's not how it works. people who love PvP in these games tend to be people you do not want to spend time with online or offline.
once the game supports PvP, people will find a way to troll and get into servers and f things up.
that's who people like that are.
cause if you wanted actual PvP, you'd play a PvP game. but you're no competitive enough. you get smoked in games that are fair.
so you need a setting where you can kick over someone's sand castle, because the guy in question isn't interested in a fight. he wants to build something up.
and that's why people want PvP in games that are not completely balanced and made for PvP.
**because they suck in actual PvP but desperately desire to ruin other people's time**
that is why you get this reaction. because we all know why you want it
I already said as a toggle for yourself. So that means even if someone joined your lobby in PvP mode, he can’t do anything to you or your base. I want the mode for when I’m playing with friends, we could battle each other when we have explored everything or just want to, not that deep.
A more real response is this game was designed to be a coop adventure. It seems to have more of a story, and probably an actual end goal (like Grounded). There are similar games out there with PvP if that's what you're interested in.
