Magic chests to use building blocks

It was a bit of a dissapointment to find that building (like refined stone block etc) only uses inventory. It makes sense more than materials, because you'll never be using them outside of a flame base zone.

I know it's not a major hassle to go to a chest and put them in your inventory, but it's one of those real QOL things. Would be so much better if it used it directly from magical chests.

Has this been mentioned before, has the devs ever commented on it?

i agree on this one - it would be much better to build "right out of the chest"
every time i access the inventory i have the chance to crashdump my game

No its not (yet). But workstations will also use magic chests in the future.

No, i don`t think that this is a good idea, because you may have to choose your favorite block from a list with max. 31 items. To slove this, you have to put the blocks in non magic chest and only the needed blocks into inventory or into a magic chests.

At first I thought it only seemed logical that you could build from the chests. If the items had weight, that would definitely be the better option. But since this is not the case, it doesn't matter whether you go to the chests because you want to limit the large selection or because you choose what you want to use. Someone will always find the situation stupid, so just leave it as it is.

I want a deluxe magic chest with a unified storage among all that exist in the world.
