I'm assuming everyone with this problem has similar specs so I listed my specifics so others who come across this thread can fix theirs.
Forgot to mention...I don't have to down clock anything and can play everything on max setting with no issues.
Intel discovered an issue with their 13th/14th-gen CPUs (like the i9-14900K, which I also have) where unsafe default BIOS settings combined with a bug in the CPU microcode itself, could cause elevated operating voltages in the CPU and impact stability: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/1eg8wl0/intel_core_13th14th_gen_issue_megathread/
The good news is, it seems like if you fix the issue in BIOS (either by changing the settings, or by updating the BIOS) early enough in the CPU's lifespan, it'll solve the issue.
The bad news is... from what I've found, if the issue goes on for too long, then the elevated voltage will physically degrade your CPU and the issue will become permanent.
I suspect that second one is where I'm at. The Reddit thread I linked says to contact Intel customer support - I assume they're going to send me a replacement CPU. Hopefully that solves the issue.
