Those who recommend this.
For those who would recommend buying this game, what other games of this type have you enjoyed in the past.

Valheim and Conan Exiles(befor it got bloated)
Mabye sons of the forest? And the forest 1.
V Rising.

I could say Reign of Kings, but i doubt anyone would know it, its dead Jim.

Valheim comes to mind. If you want something a little less intense than Valheim, you might try the new game Manor Lords. It's more of a City builder game with some combat in it. Still, a pretty good game.

Love v-rising and Conan exiles, and quite like sons of the forest. Looks like we have simler tastes, so if you recommend this Enshrouded by rights I should like it.

Valheim I never really took to. It didn't rock my boat.

Enshrouded is an attack-spammy autoaim-heavy dungeon looter at its core. The experience is closer to Diablo and its ilk than to survival games like Valheim and CE.

I am playing Diablo 4 atm.

I played Diabolo, but a long time ago.
I am a huge Zelda fan, also all kinds of building and carfting games. Like Anno and so.
Just bought Valheim and I am waiting for Pax Dei...

Not played any of those apart from Valheim. I really like Diablo 4 but that is a ARPG, I think Enshrouded is more your survival adventure game.
Anyway after quite a few hours of watching neebs playing it, I think it's something I would really enjoy, and I think I will be picking it up.
I was going to buy the latest Horizon new dawn game but there is to much of that political messaging in that game. I know they are nothing alike but that's where I was going to spend my money this month, but I'm now looking for something else you see.

Palworld has a similar building and gathering process, but you get to have your Pal help with the crafting and gathering.

Fallout 76 is getting to be a good base building game, but the seasons that they release creates a daily log in to complete chores to get free upgraded materials.

Trove, a Minecraft clone with "character classes" like Candy Barbarian.

It's very similar to the building plots from the now closed Wildstar, But I prefer the open world access this offers.

After watching a few more vids I would say Enshrouded was Valhiem for casuals, which sounds perfect.
I was going to buy both Horizon forbidden west and Homeworld 2. Unfortunately both are spoiled by politics. There seems to be no such politics in Enshrouded so this is the winner for my money.

I have put around 100 hours into fallout 76 and I don't like the look of Palworld at all. As for Trove, I'm sure that's in my library and I've never played it, must look and see.

Enshrouded has nothing to do with the survival game genre. Its an adventure game or an arpg.

Okay, np. I tell you what it's a bit of a looker this game. You don't get the full effect of the graphics all that well through vids.
Why do I get the impression my character is a hobbit? Are that what we are, hobbits?

Because their body proportions are cartoonish, but their features aren't.

I am a bit frustrated with this game at the moment so I put it down for the day.
I spent ages collecting resources and and turning them into materials and then fell of a cliff that I wasn't near the edge of. Well I was but I wasn't if you know what I mean? I sort of slid towards the edge.
Anyway I thought no problem I'll nip into the shroud and collect my stuff. Trouble is it's in a place I can't get to, sort of on a ledge.
So I have to start all over again. I didn't see a setting to turn off dropping your stuff on death, but I want one.

Yeah they look odd. I was wondering what they were going for here.
